“Combining health and building sciences for healthier buildings”
The AQ Thermostat is a climate and air quality control system for building with unitary roof top unit RTU’s or heat pumps. XCSpec Family of products provides a complete solution for climate control while improving air quality and saving on energy costs. The AQ is not just a communicating thermostat, it also enhances room ventilation through additional input air damper or exhaust control. The AQ thermostat provides a low-cost option for your customer to save money per square foot on the building total HVAC operating costs.
“XCSpec MERGES BUILDING AND HEALTH SCIENCE to provide Smart Dynamic Ventilation Controls”
AQ Thermostat functionality is designed for the light commercial building space and includes:
• 2 Stage Heat and Cool, FanAn embedded carbon dioxide sensor measures CO2 parts per million. The AQ Thermostat supports:
• CO2 ppm annunciated on panelIndicator that shows the room air is owing through the ventilation and ltration system. Provides measurement of Space Pressure to assure positive pressure in the room.
Congure the AQ Thermostat with up to 4 XCSpec wireles temperature/humidity sensors distributed throughout zones in the space and dene the “weight” of each zone. AQ Thermostat manages the zone temperatures proportionally to the assigned weights providing easy zone temperature measurement and control for tenant comfort.
The AQ Thermostat supports a wired 0-10V output to control an input air actuator stand alone or with an economizer. Wired directly to the thermostat backplate. PPM range for control is configured at installation time.
The AQ Thermostat is designed to work with Economizers annunciating an economizer Alarm on the front panel to comply with Title 24 requirements.
For Zone based CO2 control, configure the AQ Thermostat with up to 4 Wireless AQ Indoor CO2 displays. Based on the commissioning configuration, the DCV output is based on weighted CO2 values or the highest value.
When congured with XCSpec’s AQ Controls, the indoor pressure
information is used to determine if a building is positively or negatively pressurized. AQ Controls drives an exhaust or intake fan based on pressure parameters set up at installation time.
When congured with an AQ Controls – no extra wires required. All XCSpec products communicate using the thermostat wires to the remote controls in the RTU.
